IT WAS DUTHIE & BULL, ship builders and entrepreneurs, whose ships the Ballarat and Hovding transported Scandanavian migrants to New Zealand in the early 1870s.
Finding their way to the Seventy Mile Bush hills, they established the settlements now known as Norsewood and Dannevirke. These adventurous pioneer settlers relied on traditional crafts-manship, ingenuity and hard work to establish new lives on isolated bush-covered Tararua farms.
Every pair of Duthie & Bull socks celebrates their remarkable achievements, and are designed and knitted in Norsewood from a blend of finest Merino wool and possum fur for superior
comfort and wearability. |
